1: Design file checking

PCB assembly services  project will not yet enter the production process or procurement process as they must pass through several different review sections. Let me introduce them one by one.

Firstly, your PCB assembly services design files (including Gerber files, BOM files, pick and place files) will be passed to our engineering team. The point of this process is to avoid any mistakes. For example, some designs may have mismatches between components and PCB pads or some minor issues with Gerber files that may affect the assembly process, etc. Usually, it takes them 1-2 days to complete this process.

PCBAMake engineering team takes this process seriously and check every PCB assembly services design files to avoid errors. If they find any engineering issues or have confusion of the Gerber or BOM files, the sales team will ask customers for confirmation and provide PCBAMake recommendations, etc.

2: IQC process of the arrival components

PCBAMake screens out trusted components partners from millions of vendors in the market, but occasionally there are some issues unavoidably, such as quantity and values. So IQC process is essential to ensure accuracy of every component for every project. 

After IQC testing,  the PCB assembly services components will be recorded in our system and moved into our warehouse, undoubtedly they are kept well under the appropriate temperature and humidity. 

In addition, the defective items will be returned and exchanged for new ones.

3: Production, QC, Package

After completing the first two steps, your PCB assembly services project will finally enter the production process. Your PCB will be placed on an automatic board loader and then transported to an SMT PCB assembly machine. Of course, if you have DIP components that need to be assembled, your PCB assembly services board will be put into our wave soldering machine.

After the SMT PCB assembly and DIP processes, the assembled PCB will enter our QC process, including FAI inspection, AOI inspection, X-ray inspection[If needed], visual inspection, and functional testing if necessary.

After PCB assembly services is complete, good packaging is also important. Anti-static bags will be used for each PCB before they are placed into the final box.
